Getting Around
To rent or not to rent...that is the question:
To Rent

• Having your own transport: go where you want, when you want... no waiting, no need to plan.
• Shuttles: Rental agencies are off-site; call upon arrival for a quick 10-minute shuttle ride.
• Costs: Expect a median price of approximately $500 for your weekly rental period.
• Vehicle Type: We strongly recommend an SUV for its high ground clearance to navigate steep island inclines.
• Take a video walkaround of your car IN THE RENTAL COMPANY LOT before you leave. This is the easiest way to dismiss any existing dings and scratches and not get blamed for them.

To Cab

• Easy Navigation: Skip the stress of island driving and narrow roads by letting a local lead the way.
• Stress-Free Parking: Enjoy door-to-door service without ever searching for a spot at busy beaches or restaurants.
• Personal Driver: Grab a cabbie's number early on for a reliable personal contact throughout your stay.
• Flexibility First: Choose this if you prefer a relaxing ride, though keep in mind you may wait a bit for pick-ups during peak hours.
• Cost: could potentially end up costing more as fares are usually per person on the island.
